We’ve been finding homes for people with disabilities since 1999.

Tim Vogel and David Potts formed Scioto in 1999 to address the lack of housing access for people with disabilities. Scioto was the first company to address this need nationally. In 2000, Scioto purchased its first home, a ranch in Columbus, Ohio. In August 2006, Scioto celebrated the purchase of its 500th home. These homes provide community neighborhood housing to more than 1,500 individuals with developmental disabilities.

Scioto is headquartered in Dublin, Ohio. In early 2006, a business development office opened in Austin, Texas, to serve the southwest region. In 2007, we opened an additional business development office to serve the southeast region.
